I’m new to German. Where do I start?
Open Learn, choose A1 and start the first lesson. Read the examples, then try the activities.
How do I save my progress?
Sign in and enable saving once in Account. This browser remembers your choice. Your saved progress loads when you return; unsaved changes are kept separate if versions differ.
How do I sign out?
Open the account menu at the top and choose Sign out. If you have unsaved work, KLAR asks before discarding it.
I can’t hear the audio.
Check your media volume and try a German voice in your device’s speech settings. KLAR uses device-generated audio. Reading transcripts are available in listening lessons.
What do rankings measure?
Class rankings count correct first answers to multiple-choice learning activities recorded on the server. Enable account saving to record these answers. Imports and self-reviews do not add points. They are practice results, not a language qualification.
Something isn’t working.
Note which page and activity you opened, what you expected, and what happened. Save a screenshot without sign-in codes or personal details and include it in a support request. Do not send a full progress backup unless needed; it may contain personal writing.
